Day-Light: A light therapy solution clinically tested to treat SAD

Health professionals are recommending light therapy as the #1 line of treatment for Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).

For optimal phototherapy treatment, use the following guidelines when purchasing a light box:

  • Choose a light box that has been clinically tested to be safe and effective.
  • Choose a light box that has a large screen size. Smaller light boxes make it difficult to keep your eyes within the therapeutic range of light.
  • Choose white light over colored light. Blue light has been proven to cause eye damage and has no known benefit over white light.
  • Choose a light box that will project light downward. A light box that sits below you will project light up into your eyes making light therapy sessions uncomfortable.
  • Choose a light box that has a proper diffusion screen. The screen should work to even out the distribution of light and block harmful UV rays.
